Michael Hanson
MDiv, BSc
Michael works at Laidlaw College as the Director of Educational Services. He completed a BSc in Computer Science at Massey University and worked in the computer industry for several years. He travelled to the USA and completed a MDiv in 1992. Since then, Michael has been involved in pastoral ministry, tertiary education and church leadership development. Currently Michael is enrolled in a DMin at Denver Seminary focusing on Leadership in Community Spiritual Formation. Michael is married to Carolyn and they have four teenage children.

Mary Nelson
Mary joined the staff at the South Pacific Bible College (SPBC) in Tauranga in 2001 and she is the Compliance Manager. She holds an Associate Certificate in Biblical Studies, an Associate of Arts Degree and NZQA
National Certificates in Business Administration and Computing. Originally from Texas, USA, Mary and her husband, David (Dean of Academics and Lecturer, SPBC), first came to Palmerston North in 1979 to work in an apprenticeship missions programme. Since that time they have ministered to Churches of Christ in Palmerston North, Hastings and Tauranga as well as in Michigan and Illinois, USA. Mary has had a long-term involvement in Children’s Ministry and leads the Children’s Education Ministry at the Otumoetai Church of Christ in Tauranga. She is the mother of 3 grown sons: David (married to Olivia), Daniel and Jacob and a grandmother to Caleb.

Alison Hobbs
BEd, Dip Mgmt (NZIM)
Alison works at Booth College of Mission where she is the Academic Registrar. She
has an extensive background in teaching (specialising in Early Intervention) and educational management, private business and not-for-profit management. Alison’s interests include singing with The Salvation Army’s national choral group SpiritSong. She is currently studying towards a Diploma of Biblical Studies at BCM. She is the mother of two grown daughters, Sarah and Rebekah.
Edwige Fava
Michael Frost
BTech (hons), MA (Theol)
Michael works at Alphacrucis as the Academic Director. He completed his original Degree in biomedical science and worked in bioinformatics for a couple of years before moving into ministry with the church. During that time he completed a MA (Theol) and transitioned on to the staff at Alphacrucis to teach theology as well as taking up the role of Academic Director. He is married to Hannah, and is currently working towards the beginnings of a PhD in theology.
Alan Peary
BA (hons), Dip Tch, MI Dip
Alan has a varied employment history including being a free-lance designer, school teacher, school principal, manager of a Christian camp, has owned his own business and pastored a church in the Bay of Plenty.
He came to New Zealand from England in 1981, accepted Jesus as Lord in 1984, married Donna in 1985 and now has three grown up children. He has a Bachelors degree in Art and Design, trained to be a school teacher in Auckland and completed an MI Dip through BCNZ Tauranga branch.
He has a strong desire to see the scriptures become real and relevant to people of all ages and backgrounds and this commitment to Christian education has resulted in him homeschooling his children, being involved in the establishment of a Christian school, and pastoring a church for 10 years.
He sees this role at Pathways College as another opportunity to be involved in the work of God to see His Kingdom being established here on earth.
